Major Projects
During the last twentysix years, KAM has conducted literally thousands of environmental quality assessment projects involving air monitoring for airborne asbestos particles, sampling and analysis for lead based paint, PCBs and mold, as well as numerous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Property Condition Assessments for real estate transactions. One World Trade Center (9/11)
KAM was called upon by the City of New York and responded immediately on site after the collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 to monitor the immediate and wider disaster areas for airborne asbestos particles. Air monitoring activities lasted for years.

Hurricane Sandy
KAM was assigned by the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) several air monitoring projects during cleanup and restoration from the devastation left behind from Hurricane Sandy in 2012. George Cromwell Recreation Center, shown in this picture, is a typical example.

Verrazanno - Narrows Bridge
KAM was contracted to conduct air monitoring , utilizing its specialized field equipment, during the rehabilitation of the lower level project performed on the Verrazano - Narrows Bridge in 2012.

Battery Tunnel
KAM conducted air monitoring (sampling and analysis) during an asbestos abatement project in New York City's Battery Tunnel. |
26 Federal Plaza, Manhattan, NY
KAM was hired to conduct air monitoring for airborne asbestos particles during major renovation work at the Federal Building (26 Federal Plaza) for the U.S. General Services Administration, in the late 1990's.
